Message Of The Day – Stop Doubting Yourself

doubt quote

If you have a dream, it’s because you are the person to see it into being. Don’t doubt yourself. Trust that your heart’s desire wants to be brought to life, and you are the perfect one to see it through.

7 Steps To Open Your Heart and Receive

Spring is my favorite season.

To me, it symbolizes letting go of the old and inviting the new. It’s a time of renewed faith, hope, blossoming, and fruition.

To invite the energy of this new season, I thought it would be nice to create a 7 step process that will help you open to receive the newness that this beautiful season has to offer.

It’s all about letting go of your past perceived failures and flaws, and opening up to the newness that is trying to make its way into your experience.

So here are 7 steps that will help point you in the right direction of manifesting newness into your life.

1. Clearing

In order to welcome the new, you must clear out any old or preconceived notions that you have about yourself or your ability to create in your life. You may have been creating by default before, or you may not have given yourself permission to fully dream and let go, but now is the time. Drop any ideas about yourself that do not support the state of being that you would like to reside in.

2. Realign With Your Heart’s Desire

What is it that you really want? It’s okay to say it. It’s okay to acknowledge that you may need help around the house, you may want more money, or to live more comfortably. You may want to reside in a place with warmer climate or attract a new mate. Whatever it is, don’t be ashamed of it. Take this moment to declare what you want. Write it down. Acknowledge it as sacred, and know that because it is a true heart’s desire, it can make its way to you.

3. Understand That There Is A Path

Everything that you really desire has a way of making itself to you. The most beneficial state of being to be in is one of expectation. Understand that there is a path available for you to get what you really desire. You may not see it right this moment, but just the acknowledgment of the path is a start. It’s a welcoming state, and helps you let go of resistance.

4. Pay Attention To The Signs

Your work is not to make things happen. Your work is to acknowledge when you are on the path to it. When people come out of nowhere and start talking about the thing that you desire, smile and know that that’s a sign that you are on the path to it. Pay attention to any flashes of insight that you receive. Pay attention to your intuition and any strong urges that you might receive to move in the direction of something.

The thing that you desire – desires you too, and it’s a natural thing for you to create. It’s just that you may not have consciously been aware of your power to determine what you want for your life, and actually get it.

You just have to pay attention to the signs that are leading you to it. Try to relax and play with this part, and just let the signs come to you. When you try to get too involved you mess up the playfulness of things.

5. Surround Yourself With Things That Support Your Desire

Try to keep yourself in a good mood no matter what. Surround yourself with people who are doing what you love to do. Go to the places that support your dream, or write about what it will feel like once you achieve your dream. Try to do things that support your dream.

That means staying in a good mood and knowing that you can achieve it, even if the way hasn’t shown itself to you yet. Try to remain positive about the outcome. Here is a simple meditation that will help you align with positivity.

When you keep yourself in a positive state of being, you are more open to receiving the signs quicker. You are tuned into the messages that are trying to reveal themselves to you when you are open and receptive.

6. Give Freely Without The Expectation Of Receiving

I know this is difficult for some people, but try to just give without the expectation that you will receive something in return. Think of all the times you needed guidance, or wished something special would happen to you. What if you started creating those kind of experiences for other people?

They say that you get what you give, and if you create beautiful experiences for others, the quicker you are able to attract those same kinds of circumstances into your own experience.

7. Have Fun

Play around with things. Ease up. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Sometimes we get so frustrated when it seems like things aren’t going our way, but I am here to tell you that frustration just keeps you stuck in the cycle. Try to ease up a little bit. You are going to be okay. You will have what you really desire one way or another. Let’s just try to consciously create rather than having things happen by default. It’s beautiful when you feel your connection to all that’s around you.

I hope you have fun welcoming the new!

The Unknown, Anxiety Attacks, & Putting It All Into Perspective

Inner Peace

I had a dream last night that inspired this post.

For a while I have been interested in the feelings that we have and where they arise from.

For the past couple of weeks I have been experiencing panic attacks. They seemed to come out of the blue, and I couldn’t understand why I started to get them. The only other time I ever had such a thing happen was a couple of years ago when I thought I was pregnant, and wasn’t adequately prepared (financially) to have a child.

Other than that – I have never had panic attacks before.

So they started coming out of nowhere, and I decided to try and figure out what the hell was going on inside of me to cause me to have 25 minute panic attacks.

While decoding someone’s dream yesterday, I defined what evil and darkness really is. I called evil and darkness – a loss of light, fear of uncertainty, fear of the unknown, loss of control, and thoughts and circumstances that cause you to lose touch with your “God-Self” or your “Light-Self”.

Decoding that dream helped me realize what my panic attacks were in relation to. For the past couple of years I have been going through some major transformations. My foundation is shifting, my thoughts and beliefs are too, and everything that I was taught to be true about life is now being called in for questioning.

When you are trying to better yourself and break old habits, the “familiar” in you doesn’t want to go so easily. The “familiar” in me is the part that holds on for dear life because to get rid of the “familiar things” would (in my mind) somehow mean the death of me. Which isn’t the slightest bit true.

The situations that I am going through right now have opened up the floodgates of fear. I am learning all of this new material that doesn’t quite fit with the way that I’ve been taught. But somehow, I know that it’s necessary for me to move on from my old ways of thinking. They are no longer serving me, nor helping me move towards the life I am trying to grow into.

With great change comes more responsibility. Being responsible for my own life is one of the hardest things that I am learning how to cope with. You mean to tell me that I am responsible for creating my own reality? You have got to be kidding me. You mean to tell me that I can no longer blame things on my upbringing. Shoot me now. You mean to tell me that I can no longer blame God for the awful things that have happened in my life? It’s all up to me? I don’t think so.

How can anyone deal with all of that information coming at them faster than a freight train?

No wonder I’m having panic attacks. I am being asked to cultivate things within me that I never even knew existed – like in real life.

Allow the universe to show you its magic? What the hell does that mean?

You don’t have to work so hard; it can be easy? Are you kidding me? I’ve worked hard all my life, and for very little at times.

All you need is inside of you? You mean my happiness doesn’t have anything to do with my job, my husband, or the things that I receive? I’ve searched for this shit everywhere, and it’s been here all that time?

The truth is, I’ve learned that all the answers are really inside.

{Renee Brooks}

How you feel about your life is very telling. Not only does it tell you what you are currently putting out into the universe, it also gives you a clear picture of your future.

So how do you get a hold on those “out of control” feelings – those feelings that seem to manifest out of nowhere – no matter how hard you try to get rid of them?

Well, I’ve learned a few things through decoding my dreams, writing my new book, and by studying some great philosophers.

The first thing that you have to realize is that you have everything you are seeking, inside of you. You have compassion inside, you have forgiveness inside, and you have understanding inside.

You just haven’t exercised that power.

Last night in the middle of my panic attack I was feeling so helpless. I did something that my inner being encouraged me to do.

I turned inside.

I balled up my fist, put my hand of my heart, closed my eyes, and repeated,

If I don’t have anything else, I have myself.

{Renee Brooks}

It took only a few minutes to soothe my anxious heart. My breathing slowed down, my heart-rate returned to normal, and I could feel knots of tension release from my body. I knew in those moments that I could go to that place within – at any time. I had experienced a new place inside of myself. A place of truth – my inner sanctum.

That is what my soul was calling from me. It was calling me to recognize my ability to turn my thoughts of panic and fear into knowing and reassurance. It was calling me to realize that I could find my way “home” quicker and that I didn’t have to feel helpless when any sign of panic showed up. It was calling me to realize that I didn’t have to wander around in the darkness afraid.

Once you learn to define what you are experiencing, you take the eeriness out of it.

So here it goes – My panic attacks are happening because I am going through a period of darkness. By darkness, I don’t mean that there are creatures out to get me, that I’m possessed, or that I am doomed.

All darkness is, is the navigation through one’s life – without the proper light.

{Renee Brooks}

My optimism, faith, and trust is not there because I am in a stage of the unknown. I’ve never navigated through a sea this strong before, and I’m afraid.

I’ve never stepped up and declared what I wanted out of life – without anyone’s input.

I’ve never dropped all things before to follow my dreams.

I’ve never been without a job and called from myself the strength to move forward alone as my own boss.

I’ve never told the truth inside about not feeling right about some of the things I was taught.

Yet now, I am in the middle of all of this transformation – seemingly alone.

I am learning to find my way “home” in the midst of darkness. I am learning how to navigate through uncertain periods. You don’t have to know which way the wind is going to blow. You just have to know how to navigate the ship.

This realization does not mean that I will never experience anymore panic attacks. It just means that when you look inside, you have a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you, and it makes more of a difference than you may think. Looking inside helped me steady myself in the middle of a terrible panic attack. It helped me realize that the place inside I experienced is always there. It helped me realize that I don’t need anyone or anything outside of myself to feel whole. All you have is right inside. Sometimes the circumstances have to get unstable enough for you to actually seek & find.

Thank you for reading!

The Path

Path

long and arduous

or stop and stare

filled with joy

or bouts of despair

look up it’s heaven

or the devil’s down there

savoring every moment

or engulfed by fear

tiptoeing as if the grass were asleep

and twirling around with the wind as it speaks

gloom & doom as depression creeps

or move along with my heart at peace

is this right

or is this wrong

am i weak

or am i strong

am I powerful

am i divine

or am I cursed

and running out of time

along the path, the path i go

where i’ll end up, no one knows

The #1 Thing That’s Killing Your Joy

Wilted Joy

Living From The Heart DAY 7

I could have easily titled this article The #1 Thing That’s Detrimental To Your Health or The #1 Relationship That You Are Struggling With. No matter what the name, all arrows point towards one thing: Your Connection With Your Source/God energy.

I’ve learned through decoding one of my dreams the importance of this connection.

I will lay this out in a way that is easy for all to understand.

#1 Your inner-being/God energy knows you intimately & is waiting to connect with you on many different levels.

My inner-being simply chose my dreams because it knows that I love mysteries, it knows that I love puzzles and figuring things out, and it knows how happy I get when I see my own connection to this world.

#2 Your inner-being knows the niche (work, art, industry) that you fit best in.

My inner-being used my niece (yes my little niece) in the dream, as an example of the kind of relationship that it would like to have with me. It also showed me how to go about enhancing that relationship so that I could flow more passionately in my expression. I adore my niece. In my eyes there is nothing that she can do wrong. I love everything that she does. There is no way that I would ever look at her and see anything less than perfection.

That is how your inner-being feels about you at all times. It’s waiting to connect with you in a way that is enriching and fulfilling to you.

#3 The only way to connect with this is to welcome your gifts, intuitions, and knowing with open arms. The same way you would open up to those whom you adore.

Imagine you walking into a room and you see your favorite person. Your face always lights up. You rush towards them to give them a hug or a kiss. You, through those gestures, are showing that you adore that particular person. The same goes for accepting and embracing your inner being. Imagine another version of you happy to see you all the time. Always waiting there with open arms to greet you.

#4 The only reason suffering ever occurs is because you lose your connection to that pure energy.

We go through so many different things in life. Sometimes honestly we just lose the connection. We judge ourselves, we put others down, we don’t see the benefit of the doubt in a situation, and sometimes we don’t respond to our inner promptings with care. All of this is because when devastation hits we feel like we have failed in some way. Along with that feeling of failure comes the feeling of doubt. We stop trusting ourselves and we also stop trusting that we are making the right decisions in our life.

#5 In the dream my niece was pulling on her ear.

She was drawing my attention to listening. When I think of listening I automatically think of intuition. She wanted me to recognize that I wasn’t paying attention to my inner wisdom. Earrings symbolize accentuating your ability to hear your higher self. She wanted me to know to pay attention in the dream and to my dreams.

Do you know how many ideas are sitting just underneath the surface waiting for you to discover them.

Short Story

My niece recognized one day that we could communicate without words. She walked over to a lamp that was sitting on my nightstand and she rubbed her hands along the bottom part of the lamp. I said to her, “do you want me to turn that on?” She just looked at me and smiled so I turned on the lamp. She started clapping and smiling and she looked the happiest I had ever seen. As if she was saying, “FINALLY some understands that I can’t use words yet, but that doesn’t mean I can’t communicate.”

It was so funny and so cute. She understood that day that I could understand her in ways other than talking. She was pointing me back in the direction of my source. Funny that she would use the lamp to do such a thing. I knew her and I had a strong connection before she was even born. I use to talk to her. Even though she wasn’t here yet, I knew here energy was present. I believe she heard me, and that’s why we have such a strong connection even though she’s only almost 2. I read a quote today that falls in line with this…

“Important encounters are planned by souls long before the bodies see each other.” {Paulo Coelho}

P.Coelho

# 6 The dream also pointed to some old patterns of thought that were disallowing my full connection to the flow.

One day when I was younger, I was at my aunt’s house. I made a mistake and put an opened jar of fruit cocktail in the fridge. My aunt came out yelling at me and asked me if I was trying to kill myself. I didn’t understand what she was talking about. She was furious that I hadn’t heard a word about not putting opened cans in the fridge. I felt kind of stupid even though I was really young. I shouldn’t have felt that way because – if someone never taught this – how do you know?

The same thing goes with understanding the most important relationship in your life. Some would beg to differ if you tell them that the most important relationship is between YOU and YOU. We are taught from a very young age to direct our love outwardly. By doing that and not understanding the primary relationship we hurt the relationship that means the most to us. I am in no way shape or form saying be stingy with your love, but we have to learn to love ourselves first.

#7 That experience taught me something long before I recognized its value.

It taught me how to be a better teacher. Decoding my dream today showed me my particular niche is helping others connect to their source energy. This is the most important relationship to build. I learned that people do not need to feel stupid and confused for “not knowing something”. My experience when I was younger at my aunt’s house mixed with the dream that I just had, opens up a space for me to shine light on this subject in a new way.

#8 The other false belief that it touched upon was the idea that {I’m Too Old To Learn}.

That very belief stunts your growth. Take this article for instance. I have been into my dreams for years trying different ways to connect the dots. It wasn’t until I put down the dream dictionaries and started trusting my own intuition that the pieces started coming together. It’s the same thing with your relationship to your source/inner-being. You can use other stuff as a reference, but it doesn’t make an impact unless you understand your primary relationship first. You have to trust your own gut, your own inner promptings, your own inner wisdom. That is what is meant when people say – search inside. It is an absolutely essential part of navigating through this life.

If that system fails – everything else does too.

Fail is too strong of a word, but I think you get the point. If your primary relationship (the one between you and your inner being) is not tended to, all else fails.

You are never too old to dream. If you have a calling in your heart there is a way to understand and connect with it, but you must build up your most important relationship first. Everything else will then fall into place.

I Am So Thrilled

I literally jumped up and down when I discovered this information. It’s not that this information hasn’t been around since the beginning of time. It has, but everyone does not connect to it in just one way. I am here to let my light shine, to uncover piece by piece the information that has been hidden. As it reveals itself, I can feel some of the layers peeling away.

I’ll leave you with this last story.

I know I’ve talked your ear off, but I love seeing the connections in this information.

I once had a dream of a huge Buddha like statue. Long before I knew the Buddha story. A helicopter was flying around spraying dusty gold paint over it. I couldn’t understand why, but the helicopter flew away for a bit. When it flew away, a piece of the statue cracked and the most powerful light started to shine through the crack. It was so bright that it blinded everyone that was standing around.

I feel like that person that has been covered up for a long time. Not knowing her true power or her true worth, but my inner promptings are stronger than any temporary setbacks that I may have faced & I am here to tell you… So are yours. Your inner promptings led you here.

It is no mistake.

I appreciate you reading this.

I hope to hear from you.

Day 2: Living From The Heart

Day 2

Posting A Little Early

Well, the day is not quite over, but I am doing my post a little early. Someone told me in the sweetest way today that I am on the computer too much. LOL. With that said… here I am – for a little while – then I must go.

I want to share some things with you today. I thought about this question yesterday… What is your real worth? Is it your beauty? Your profession? Your spirituality? What really makes you worth something in this world? Is it what we believe or hope for? Is it the dreams inside of us that we somehow bring to reality? I think if everyone could find what their true worth is (the reason they were specifically created) this world would be much happier. I open this question up to the readers. What is your real worth? Why do you believe you were created?

Do you believe that you were created to just be? If so, why are so many running around trying to fit into groups and different areas of life. Is there something wrong with just being? Why are people so afraid to be without? Why do people (including myself), hang on to labels, professions, and what other people think?

I open these questions up to the universe, and as soon as I find anything even remotely close to an answer, I will share it with you. I think that if we had those answers, we would be happier and more content. I just look at the world sometimes and feel like underneath all of those rosy smiles, pretty pictures, and Instagram shots we are suffering. There is a part of us that is crying out for something authentic and pure that we can’t seem to find. There are answers to our mysteries. If there weren’t any answers to those questions, I wouldn’t be able to pose the questions.

The Journey I’m On

Perhaps this is the journey that I am embarking on. This seems to be the period where life is stripping me naked. I am reluctantly throwing away all of my preconceived notions and getting my ass tossed around by the universe just to stand vulnerable and without an ounce of belief left in any one particular thing. I feel like I am standing in the shivering cold with no one around that hears or helps me. I am in the darkest part of my soul screaming for the light. I think to myself sometimes, what if there is no light? What if you remain unknown? What if this is all there is? What if no one ever answers the call? Could you find a way to be 100% comfortable with just yourself as you are. Snot nosed, tears pouring down your face, naked, and vulnerable. Right now the answer is no. I need my clothes. I need to fit in. I need to belong. I need to feel wanted and attractive. I need the authority figures to see me as Precious (the nickname granted to me by my grandmother) and untainted. I need that in my life.

I am however searching for the moment of freedom when I don’t need any of that. It’s not right now. Right now comfort and security is all I know. Never mind that it is a twisted, manipulative, bonded kind of comfort. That doesn’t matter. The thought that I may be seen as unruly, unimportant, or irrelevant to this world at large in some kind of way is much more daunting than stepping outside of my comfort zone.

It’s Just Me Ranting A Bit

Call this a rant if you will, but it’s just my way of showing the world how my mind works. I have a billion unanswered questions. So many things pent up inside. The basis of some spiritual worship tells us not to ask questions, but I have always been inquisitive. I remember when I was younger. I ran around snooping, looking in peoples’ stuff, tattle telling. I was a bit of a problem for any parent that just wanted their child to be quiet. Oh trust me, I did what I was told, but it didn’t last long. Lol. I was always right back into the next thing. I had so many questions then, and that part of me still lives on. Only thing is, when I was younger, the questions didn’t seem to weigh so heavy on me.

I could just say, “eh” when I didn’t receive an answer and move on to my next mystery. It’s different now. I hate to see people suffering. I dislike with a passion to not be able to help those closest to me that need help. I cannot stand when those close to me come to me crying because they can barely make ends meet to pay their monthly bills. The world at large is screaming out for something that money cannot buy however… I just don’t know how to fill the holes that people have in their heart. I can start to ask questions though.

Music Defining Emotion

I listened to a powerful song today. I am sure a lot of you have heard Beyonce sing Listen. I know that there is a lot of controversy surrounding Beyonce and her family, but one thing I cannot deny is her musical talent. This song just sends shivers down my spine. I don’t even know what is so deep inside me that makes me want to shout this song out from the rooftop, but she sings the words that I can’t find. I feel a power deep inside that I cannot express outwardly sometimes. Here is the video just incase you want to listen.

The Shifting Universe

I believe that when we are too rigid the universe is not able to bend and move to our requests. It just kills the creativity of the universe when you have too much of an “idea” of exactly the way you want things to go in your mind. The purpose of this 30 day living from the heart is to just follow my instincts. Where ever they may lead me. I can desire and ask for things, but there has to be some flexibility in order for the universe to deliver. I believe there are answers. So my work during this process is to get in sync with the ease and flow of my well-being.

In Closing

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. There are answers out there. I also learned something else that is very important. Don’t wait until you are aggravated and annoyed with your day to try to get into a good mood. Do it early. Wake up and get yourself in a good mood. Right from the jump. You can start with meditation, a nice run, or even journaling. Do whatever you can to start your day on the right track.
