Sharing yourself creatively ~ takes guts.

Changing outdated beliefs and your old ways ~ takes guts. Learning to love yourself (unconditionally) ~ takes guts.

Whenever we are getting ready to start something new or shed our old skin, that inner critical voice shows up.

I’ve created a short soul whispers audio session to help soothe that.

An Easy Way To Access Your Inner Treasure

The easiest way to access your inner treasure is to go straight to the source.

Envision that you are at a door.

You are holding the key.

When you allow yourself to go inside, envision that a light turns on and allows you to see all of your riches before you. Imagine there are many books with knowledge on every subject, healing crystals, valuable minerals, jewels, and anything else that you would like to have access to.

Imagine there is a seat in the middle of this space for you to contemplate.

Ask yourself both of the following questions:

What makes me worthy of all of this? (All the knowledge and riches you see before you?)

or

What makes me unworthy of all of this? (What’s stopping you from accessing the riches and knowledge that is there?)

For those of you who feel unworthy to access your inner treasure, meditate on those two questions and share the answers with yourself or someone you trust.

Sometimes we don’t realize that we are the ones that hold ourselves back from the inner richness that is our soul. We don’t even realize that we are doing it. Start to examine all the things that tell you that you are unworthy, and try to find some reasons why you are worthy of it.

For example you can say, I am worthy of this richness of knowledge because I am compassionate. I know that I will share this information in ways that will enrich peoples’ lives.

It’s also very interesting to come face to face with all the energy that you have trapped inside about not being worthy.

As you start to allow yourself permission to access this space (which is rightfully yours), you will begin to see things change in your life. Acknowledge and appreciate any change (big or small). Keep going to this space and clearing out space in your mind for you to receive your richness. It’s a beautiful thing to experience.

Let me know how your experience goes with this tool.

Removing Negativity – As Easy As Breathing?

breathing

I know that it’s difficult sometimes to remove negative thoughts and realign with your true nature.

Sometimes things just drive us crazy, and it is difficult in those moments to calm things down and form a different perspective.

Sometimes you just have to allow yourself however, the break or pause that you need to get things back on track.

Here is a resource that will help you realign with the present moment.

It’s a meditation that helps you breathe in positivity and breathe out negativity. It’s short, sweet, and to the point. Ray (my spirit guides) and I, had fun creating this meditation, and I hope you enjoy it.

Inner Work – Centering Yourself

 GroundingYourself

I love the idea of “inner work”.

You know – building yourself up on the inside first.

It’s such a simple concept, but how many times do we try to change outside circumstances to no avail.

Changing your inner world allows for you to see the transformation of that “inner work” show up on the outside. It’s the work that I am digging deeper and deeper into everyday, and it’s fun to try and piece together my understanding of this profound insight. Today we are going to talk about grounding yourself.

The whole purpose of grounding yourself, is so that you can feel more secure in who you are, what you are made of, and what you have to offer to this world. Grounding yourself also allows for you to stabilize your energy so that when you go out into the world, external circumstances don’t disturb you as much or at all.

I am going to give you a few simple techniques that you can incorporate into your daily routine, that will help you feel more grounded.

Remember, the purpose of grounding yourself is so that you feel one with your true spirit, and so that the winds of change don’t wind you up so easily.

I am not going to tell you to sit in a cross-legged position, holding your hands together, for x amount of time, and to meditate. If I told you to do that, I would be a hypocrite, because I do not practice meditation (in the traditional sense), everyday.

Instead, I am going to give you some tips for grounding yourself that are easy to remember, easy to implement, without the frustration, and painless.

 #1 Standing Firm

  • Several times throughout your day, when you’re standing up and standing still, focus all of your energy to the soles of your feet. Act as if you are taking the energy from the top of your head, and pushing it down to the bottom of your feet. See how that feels for you. It should feel like you are not only standing on solid ground, but you should feel centered as well.

#2 Feel Your Stability

  • As you walk throughout your day, feel the stability of the ground beneath your feet. Take a few steps where you feel confident – meaning walk a little harder and more secure. You don’t have to scare anyone with your footsteps, just focus your attention on feeling how stable each of your steps is. Take into consideration that the ground is the “inner you” (stable, strong, and consistent). See how that feels to you. You should feel like you are walking on a solid platform at all times. Remember to practice this technique only when you are on a surface that feels secure (ex. concrete, a firm carpet, or a wooden floor).

#3 Pause

  • If you feel yourself getting tense throughout your day, stop for a few moments and take 3 deep breaths. I cannot explain to you how effective this technique is. Make sure when you breathe in, that you are breathing deeply, and make sure when you breathe out, that you are exhaling until you feel all the air is pushed out. Do this at a pace that is comfortable for you. It will work wonders. You should feel like you could revisit that space at anytime. You may even have a moment of appreciation throughout the day that you can use this technique with. You don’t have to do it only when you are feeling tense. The purpose of the technique is for you to realize where your center is, and to draw you back to the present moment or to help you appreciate the present moment more fully.

#4 The “Soul and I” Mantra

  • When you are lying down, preferably right before bedtime, place your hand on your heart and repeat this phrase.

My Soul and I Are One – Align My Thoughts With That Fact.

  • Say that phrase as many times as you need to before you allow yourself to drift to sleep. The reason we are doing this right before you go to sleep is because your mind tends to relax right before bed, and is more receptive to certain ideas. Also, you acknowledging that you would like to align your thoughts with your soul, calls forth new ideas and things that will help you do that. It truly is a remarkable tool.

You see, I told you the tips would be painless.

You can use any one of these techniques at anytime. Use your creativity, and design the times where you think they will work best for you. After some practice, you’ll notice that they just come naturally to you, and before you know it, centering yourself will come naturally too.

Day 1: Living From The Heart

Day 1

Getting Use To This

Like any new project, idea, or beginning, things take some time getting used to. When I first started the day it felt very normal. You know the usual routine, get up – eat breakfast – wash – get dressed – etc. Everything was normal during the first half of the day. The purpose of this |||30 Day Living From The Heart||| challenge is not to change what I am doing, but how I think.

I started the day by painting and listening to music. I must say that music, especially from the genres that I enjoy the most, is very uplifting. No matter what kind of mood you are in, listening to music can lift your spirits right away.

Here are a few of the videos that I have on my music playlist.

Poetry

I even tried writing some poetry. Sometimes we can’t express what we want to say in simple terms. Perhaps we have secrets that we don’t want shared or things that we are too afraid to acknowledge. Those things stay buried inside. Eating away at you until you find a way to release them. Here is a small part of the poem that I created today. I got to write freely about something that has been bothering me for a while. Here is a small part of that poem. The poem is titled {Sweet Vanilla}.

Words cannot define how it feels to be trapped in its elusive – intrusive presence. While feeling so guilty inside. Indulge, it says. No I can’t. Its stare is penetrating and it demands… my attention, my affection, my love, and misdirection. All because of its beautiful scent. Its highly, erotically, manipulatively deceptive.

Change Of Mood

Some days I get extremely tired. The fact that I get drained is written all over my face at times. My intention for the day was to keep myself in high spirits no matter what. I was talking to someone today and they said to me,” You seem really happy. Your spirit is high.” I smiled because I deliberately wanted to be in higher spirits today and I guess it showed. His comment was confirmation that my energy shifted a bit. The only advice that I can give to people trying to sync with the flow of their true nature is to just take it one day at a time. Step by step. No more – no less.

Spiral Of Desire

I decided to write down all the things I want in my life. They say once you write it down it in some way makes things tangible. You can see it and remind yourself of what’s important to you. I decided to make two spirals. A beautiful love life and passionate work are very important to me. Here are the two spirals that I made. The purpose of this is to just get you in the flow of what you would like in your life regardless of what subject you are referring to.

Small Insight

I did receive a small flash of insight today. I read a quote today:

You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. {Buddha}

I don’t know why that particular quote stuck out to me. I started thinking about all the times that I do my best to pamper someone else, put all my effort into making sure my books are presentable, prepare dinner to serve to others, and worry about what others will think or feel by what I say. It never dawned on me that life is just trying to show me: the same attention, love, and courtesy that you give to them – give to yourself. I don’t know why that never occurred to me. That message rang loud and clear.

We too often give others the benefit of the doubt, stress ourselves out to make other people happy, and jump hurdles to make sure that our loved ones are taken care of and not offended by what we say or do. How often do we give that same courtesy to ourselves, deliberately? It’s almost like we have to be tricked into giving love to ourselves sometimes. We have to wait until some holiday, or until we finish school, land a job, or get seen in the public eye to really appreciate ourselves. How about all that love that you show to others, you turn just a little bit back in your own direction? It was just interesting because I know that I have heard people say many times to love yourself, but for some reason that quote just stood out to me today.

In Closing

Today was okay. I made it the best that I could, and I am looking forward to tomorrow being even better. I plan on going to sleep to the soothing sounds of nature mixed with soft music. That helps me get a jump start on the next day. Good night all! Sweet dreams and blessings!

My request to the universe tonight: I would like to be a part of something exciting, meaningful, and heartwarming.
